The Chore Program

At our old jobs one of the biggest requirements was that we had to create a chore program for the girls that were living with us. After all, when you’re living in a 10,000 square foot house, someone has to keep it clean. I must say, when it worked, it was magic. And most of the time – it worked.

I joked with some of our friends that during our drive down we were going to stop for the night so I could come up with a chore program for Jeanna to implement at our new home. It was partly a Southern redneck joke and partly poking fun at Jeanna’s need to clean anything and everything within her reach.

I hadn’t even gotten the back door of the truck open yet before Jeanna was on her hands and knees scrubbing the utility room floor so we could get the washer and dryer set up. The levels of irony are amazing. So, I present to you . . . The Chore Program.

Starting Today

Well. It’s been an emotionally charged whirlwind but today is my first day on my new job. To be frank, it’s one I’ve been seeking for about three years now. I’m just glad they finally decided to create it. We miss our girls at the school sorely, but we also believe that we are much better suited to impact lives on the outside.

I don’t really have much to say. I just wanted to give everyone an update while I was having the morning cup of joe.
